Overview

Good bread deserved a brand that looked the part.

Breadplus bakes artisan sourdough and pastries worth queuing for. The product was never the problem — the brand was. It read like any other supermarket bakery aisle, and when a brand looks generic, people assume the offer is generic too.

The goal wasn't a prettier logo. It was a clear direction: an identity that feels like a specialist, warm enough to pull someone in off the street, yet precise enough to justify a premium price.

Strategy

Three decisions did the heavy lifting.

Before anything was drawn, the brand needed a direction it could grow into — not just a look.

Position as a specialist

Everything leans premium and intentional, so the bakery reads as a craft specialist — not a shelf in a supermarket. That single choice sets the price people expect to pay.

Build a system, not a logo

The mark is symmetrical, so it holds up flipped, cropped or rotated on bags, windows and wrapping. The identity survives the messy real world instead of only working in a brand deck.

Leave room to grow

Sourdough is the core; pastry — plus whatever comes next — is the expansion. The brand is built to stretch with the menu, so it won't need a rebrand the moment the offer widens.

"The real test of an identity is whether it still works without the logo.
